IMPLEMENTASI KOMUNIKASI TERAPEUTIK DRG.¬CO-ASSISTENT (CO-AS) DENGAN PASIEN DI RUMAH SAKIT GIGI MULUT (RSGM) UNPAD

Communication is an important social contact tool in fostering the relationship between drg.co-as and patients having therapeutic relationships aimed at patient recovery. The creation of good therapeutic communication will create a trusting relationship between drg.co-as and the patient. Patients will feel comfortable about the services provided by drg.co-as so as to increase the spirit and motivation of patients to recover. The purpose of this study was to explore the therapeutic communication process and barriers experienced by drg.co-as with patients at Dental and Mouth Hospital of Padjadjaran University Bandung. This research uses qualitative research method with case study approach through observation and in-depth interview. Techniques of determining informants through snowball with Co-as dentists as main informants as many as 3 people, doctors gigim patients, and patient families as supporting informants. The results of research from therapeutic communication process is done by applying honesty, open communication and 5S culture (greeting, smile, greeting, attitude and spirit). Obstacles experienced are the use of Language, resistance, and transferens. The conclusion obtained that the implementation of therapeutic communication can be done not only by the dentist, but has been applied early on the drg. Co-as as a service based on patient satisfaction.
