Analisa Kelayakan AR Artbook sebagai Media Promosi Destinasi Pariwisata dan Kebudayaan di Kota Singkawang
Abstract
Indonesia is a country characterized by the diversity of its ethnicities, cultures, and traditions spread across 17,508 islands. This provides an advantage in the tourism sector in Indonesia. One example is Singkawang City, touted as the Most Tolerant City in Indonesia, yet it does not boast fantastic tourism figures despite having numerous multicultural traditions with tourist destinations & attractions. The purpose of this study is to analyze the feasibility of Augmented Reality (AR)-enhanced Illustration Book (AR Artbook) as an alternative promoting medium. The analysis is conducted through qualitative research methods based on literature reviews, data, and case studies of designs that have been published. Based on the findings, it is concluded, AR Artbook is a great promoting medium alternative, capable of enhancing the existing promotional media by the Singkawang City Government and also a viable learning tool for the culture and tourism in the city of Singkawang.
