Implementasi QCC pada Penerapan Budaya 5R dan Safety di PT Rapu

This Community Service Program (PKM) was conducted at PT Rapu, an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) company producing automotive components such as metal stamping, machining, and rubber parts. The company faced challenges related to the suboptimal implementation of Quality Control, 5R (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain), and occupational safety practices, which affected production effectiveness and workplace safety awareness. This program aimed to improve employees’ understanding of the implementation of Quality Control Circle (QCC), 5R, and Safety practices in the workplace. The implementation methods included field observation, problem identification, and training for production employees. The training involved 15 participants, and its effectiveness was evaluated using pretest and posttest assessments to measure the improvement in participants’ understanding. In addition, the program resulted in the implementation of a visual management board as a tool for monitoring work activities, quality performance, and safety aspects in the production area. The evaluation results showed an improvement in participants’ understanding, with the average score increasing from 1.3 in the pretest to 3.9 in the posttest on a maximum scale of 5, indicating an average increase of 2.6 points, which exceeded the minimum comprehension standard of 3.0. Furthermore, the implementation of the visual management board supported better information transparency and monitoring of operational activities in the workplace. These results indicate that the training and visual management implementation were effective in improving employees’ understanding of QCC, 5R, and Safety practices in an industrial environment.
