Pengaruh Parenting Sense of Competence (PSOC) terhadap Parental Burnout pada Orang Tua yang Bekerja

Setiap orang tua memiliki peran sebagai pengasuh dan pembimbing anak nya, tidak terkecuali orangtua yang bekerja. Hanya saja seringkali orang tua yang bekerja merasa sangat kelelahan ketika harus mengasuh anak-anak mereka di rumah. Tak jarang orang tua yang bekerja juga merasa tidak yakin dapat melakukan pengasuhan dengan baik dan tidak merasa puas dengan pola pengasuhan yang diterapkan kepada anak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh Parenting Sense of Competence (PSOC) terhadap Parental Burnout pada Orang tua yang bekerja. Sebanyak 235 responden terlibat dalam penelitian ini, dimana perempuan berjumlah 191 orang dan laki-laki berjumlah 44 orang. Teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah purpousive sampling dengan kriteria orang tua yang bekerja full time, tinggal satu rumah dengan anak, dan usia anak maksimal 12 tahun. Analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan uji regresi linear sederhana dengan hasil bahwa Parenting Sense of Competence (PSOC) berpengaruh terhadap Parental Burnout pada Orang tua yang bekerja. Ketika orang tua memiliki rasa kompeten untuk melakukan pengasuhan, maka akan menurunkan tingkat kelelahan yang berlebih saat mengasuh anak mereka, karena orang tua akan memiliki strategi yang tepat untuk menghadapi situasi yang tidak terduga.
