Studi Deskriptif School Engagement pada Siswa SMK “X” di Kota Bandung
Abstract
This study investigates school engagement among students of SMK "X" in Bandung. Participants were recruited using stratified random sampling technique, via a Google Form distributed to SMK "X" students in Bandung aged 14-19 years (n=368). The instrument used to measure school engagement was a questionnaire developed by Jane Savitri, Stephanie Susanto, and Destalya Anggrainy (2016). The research findings indicate a minimum score of 63.00 and a maximum score of 112.00 for school engagement. The mean school engagement score is 87.0163 with a standard deviation of 8.69306. Based on the data collected from 368 students in grades 10, 11, and 12 of SMK "X" Bandung, it was found that 28% of students have high school engagement, while 3% have low school engagement. These findings suggest that there is no significant difference between students with high and low levels of school engagement. The recommendation of this study is to advise the school principal and teachers of SMK "X" Bandung to encourage all students to continually improve their school engagement.
