Hubungan Pola Asuh Permisif dengan Kontrol Diri pada Pelaku Cyberbullying
Abstract
This study seeks to examine the correlation between permissive parenting styles and the level of self-control exhibited by individuals who engage in cyberbullying at SMA Negeri 2, SMA Negeri 5, and SMA Negeri 7 in Lhokseumawe City. The participants in this study consisted of eighty-eight students who were selected using cluster sampling procedures. The data collection strategy employed in this research was the utilisation of a permissive parenting scale consisting of thirty-seven items, a self-control scale comprising twenty-four items, and a cyberbullying scale consisting of forty-five items. Data analysis employs the Pearson Product Moment correlation to determine the link between variables. The correlation values indicate a substantial negative relationship. The research findings indicate a correlation between permissive parenting and self-control in individuals who engage in cyberbullying. Cyberbullying offenders with a higher degree of liberal parenting style tend to have lower levels of self-control. Similarly, when the level of permissive parenting is low for cyberbullying perpetrators, their self-control will be higher.
