Abstract

Autism is a disorder in brain development that usually has a low IQ, so it is difficult to communicate and interact. Children with autism also have behavioral disorders. Symptoms of autism will generally appear when entering toddlerhood, namely at the age of 1-2 years. The symptoms that appear can also vary from one child to another. This autism cannot be cured, but to relieve the symptoms requires a gluten free diet. According to the National Institutes of Health, a gluten-free diet is recommended for helping autism. Although there is no definitive research on the effects of a gluten diet, parents with children with autism claim a gluten diet can help reduce autism symptoms.
