Abstract

This research is motivated by the increasing number of adolescent users of the tik-tok application who show behavior that leads to narcissism in order to expect recognition from others. One that is thought to influence it is self-control. The purpose of this study is the relationship between self-control and narcissism in adolescent users of the Tik-tok application in Bandung. This research is a correlational quantitative research. Respondents of this study were 150 teenagers consisting of 139 female respondents and 11 male respondents who were active users of the Tik-tok application in Bandung City. The results of this study are: there is a negative relationship between self-control and the tendency of narcissism in adolescent users of the Tik-tok application in Bandung with a correlation coefficient of -0.996 and a significance level of 0.000.
