Abstract

In early adulthood, they usually have a relationship with the opposite sex that becomes more intense and intimate, or what is usually called dating. When they are dating they get to know each other and adapt to each other's character or traits. It is not uncommon for them to have a Long Distance Relationship (LDR), which means being geographically separated from their partner. In conditions like this, couples need trust to be able to maintain the relationship. The aim of this research is to determine trust in relationships in LDR couples. Researchers used a quantitative approach method on 60 respondents who were in a LDR, and aged 18-30 years. The scale used is a tool for measuring trust issues in relationships which has been adapted from Rempel (1985). The value with reliability value is 0.892. The results of this research were that the responses of LDR couples were 53% or 32 respondents included in the high level of trust category, which means that LDR couples trust their partner even though their relationship is far apart.
