Abstract

Today's young generation is less interested in folklore because it is considered irrelevant to the development of the era in the era of globalization that is all modern and modern. Very contrary to twenty years ago, folklore once experienced a glory period, greatly influenced the mindset of the people, but in fact now the folklore has begun to be abandoned or has lost prestige among the people. The cause of young people is no longer interested in folk tales, one of which is because the storyline and characters are considered outdated. It can even be said that the younger generation today has lost interest in reading and listening to folklore which is generally associated with forests, animals and imaginary worlds. The fact that this happens, it can be said as reversing the image, what is described by folklore, together with the onset of forest extinction and all the wealth in it by technological advances and modernization. The development of mobile technology, especially Android is expected to be one of the means return the interest of the young generation to folklore.
