https://jurnalunibi.unibi.ac.id/ojs/index.php/in_search/article/view/1503

How To Make Millions Before Grandma Dies portrays family values through the story of a grandson’s sacrifice for his grandmother, which begins with materialistic motives and transforms into sincere affection. This study aims to analyze how family values are represented in the film using John Fiske’s semiotic approach, which consists of three analytical levels: reality, representation, and ideology. The research employs a qualitative method with data collection techniques including documentation, observation, interviews, and literature study. The results show that at the level of reality, the film presents symbols of affection, empathy, and familial responsibility through acts of caregiving, listening, and selflessness. At the level of representation, cinematographic aspects such as warm lighting, intimate framing, and melancholic music strengthen the emotional meaning of family relationships. At the ideological level, the film represents a shift from capitalist ideology toward humanistic family values, where true wealth is measured by sincerity and devotion rather than material possessions. Therefore, the film serves not only as entertainment but also as a social reflection that emphasizes the importance of family values, respect for the elderly, and the meaning of sacrifice in modern Asian culture.
Nikita Salsa Billa Indra PutriAnggita LestariNisa Lathifah

https://jurnalunibi.unibi.ac.id/ojs/index.php/in_search/article/view/1516

Muhammad Awaluddin

https://jurnalunibi.unibi.ac.id/ojs/index.php/in_search/article/view/1520

This study aims to analyze the influence of Psychological Capital (Psycap) on work readiness in final-year university students in Bandung City. This study used a quantitative approach involving 220 final-year university students in Bandung City. Sampling was conducted using a non-probability sampling method, specifically purposive sampling, with the following criteria: final-year undergraduate students, aged 18–25, and with no prior work experience. Data were collected via a Google Form to provide easy access for respondents. The variables were measured using the Psychological Capital Questionnaire (PCQ) for Psycap and the Work Readiness Scale (WRS) for work readiness. Both instruments demonstrated high reliability, with Cronbach's Alpha values of 0.904 and 0.889, respectively. Data analysis was performed using simple linear regression with Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) version 26. The results show that Psycap has a positive and significant influence on work readiness. The contribution of Psycap to work readiness is 50.6%, while the remaining percentage is influenced by other factors. This finding implies that improving Psycap (which includes self-efficacy, optimism, hope, and resilience) can effectively enhance students' work readiness. The practical implication of this study is the need for educational institutions to develop psychological intervention programs to prepare students holistically, not just academically, before they enter the workforce.
AmosEvi Srinur HastutiNida Muthi Annisa

https://jurnalunibi.unibi.ac.id/ojs/index.php/in_search/article/view/1521

Ocean wave fluctuations significantly impact maritime activities, coastal infrastructure, and disaster mitigation systems. However, predicting wave heights accurately remains a challenge due to the complex temporal dynamics of oceanographic data. This study proposes a recursive multi-step forecasting ap-proach using the XGBoost regression model to predict wave heights up to 30 days ahead. The dataset was obtained from wave buoys at Mooloolaba, Queensland, covering a 30-month observation period. After preprocessing and exploratory data analysis (EDA), relevant lag-based features were engineered to sup-port model learning. The XGBoost model was trained using past wave height, period, sea surface tempera-ture, and peak direction as predictive inputs. The results show that the model achieved RMSE values of 0.0851, 0.0899, and 0.0958 for step-ahead forecasts at t+1, t+2, and t+3, respectively. Visualization fur-ther confirms the model’s ability to capture wave trends consistently. These findings suggest that the pro-posed method is effective and can be utilized to support early warning systems and decision-making in coastal areas.
Nur AlamsyahMuhammad Nizar HaikalArnold Ropen SinagaBudiman

https://jurnalunibi.unibi.ac.id/ojs/index.php/in_search/article/view/1526

This study explains a collaborative approach as one of the strategies needed to develop the creative economy in the Bandung city area. Anthropology is currently challenged by Indonesia's increasingly dynamic development, which not only offers recommendations from field research but also offers tangible results in the form of human development and applied anthropology. This article aims to provide a new perspective that design science, with its design thinking approach, is closely related to the ethnographic approach used by anthropologists. It seeks to deepen the relationship between anthropology and design given the growing attention to the potential impact of design and innovation in solving sociocultural problems. The relationship between anthropology and design has a place and a challenge to play a role in efforts to set simple and realistic goals, develop a humanistic approach, and prioritize sensitivity to the socio-economic context and cultural values and practices of local communities to create sustainable projects. This will change, and will fuel theoretical research debates on concepts and methods of interest in academia and practice.
Bakti Bestin

https://jurnalunibi.unibi.ac.id/ojs/index.php/in_search/article/view/1536

The COVID-19 pandemic has triggered an economic crisis that has disrupted the operational activities and financial stability of companies in various sectors, including property and real estate. This study aims to analyze the differences in the financial performance of PT Pollux Investasi Internasional Tbk before, during, and after the COVID-19 pandemic using a comparative quantitative approach. The financial performance is measured using profitability ratio (Return on Assets), liquidity ratio (Current Ratio), and solvency ratio (Debt to Equity Ratio) based on audited annual financial reports for the 2018–2023 period. Data were analyzed through descriptive statistics and period-to-period average comparison without inferential statistical tests. The results show that during the pandemic, profitability decreased, liquidity improved, and solvency strengthened significantly. In the post-pandemic period, the company experienced a recovery with increased profitability, stronger liquidity, and a more controlled debt structure compared to the pre-pandemic period. These findings indicate that the company successfully adapted to the crisis and achieved better financial stability after the pandemic.
Adib Yuda PratamaAzwani AuliaVera Amalia
