This research analyzes the impact of digital platforms on communication among Gundam toy collectors. Utilizing new media theory and fandom studies, this qualitative study explores how online forums, social media (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter), YouTube, and online marketplaces have reshaped interaction, information sharing, collection showcasing, and community building. Through case studies, in-depth interviews, and online content analysis, it finds that digital platforms foster global communities, rapid information exchange, and new participation forms. However, it also identifies challenges to traditional fandom communication due to digital media dominance. This study provides deeper insight into how new media transforms communication in established fandoms and how fandom identity and culture are maintained in the dynamic digital sphere.
