Pengaruh Platform Digital terhadap Praktik Komunikasi Kolektor Gundam

Penelitian ini menganalisis pengaruh platform digital terhadap praktik komunikasi di kalangan kolektor mainan Gundam, sebuah fenomena fandom yang telah lama ada sebelum era internet. Menggunakan teori media baru dan studi fandom, penelitian kualitatif ini mengeksplorasi bagaimana forum daring, media sosial (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter), YouTube, dan pasar daring telah mengubah interaksi, berbagi informasi, pameran koleksi, dan pembentukan komunitas. Melalui studi kasus, wawancara mendalam, dan analisis konten daring, ditemukan bahwa platform digital memfasilitasi komunitas global, pertukaran informasi yang cepat, dan bentuk partisipasi baru. Namun, penelitian ini juga mengidentifikasi tantangan terhadap praktik komunikasi tradisional fandom akibat dominasi media digital. Penelitian ini memberikan wawasan lebih dalam tentang bagaimana media baru mentransformasi komunikasi dalam fandom yang mapan dan bagaimana identitas serta budaya fandom dipertahankan dalam ranah digital yang dinamis.
